Lizzie is joining OES as an Associate Fellow through the Presidential Management Fellowship program. She is on rotation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she supports efforts to foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in the public health workforce. As a joint PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science and the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, Lizzie studies public opinion and its role in policymaking. She has written about academic research for broader audiences as an American Political Science Association Public Scholarship Fellow. Before starting her PhD, Lizzie was a graduate fellow at the U.S. Department of State, where she contributed to advancing human rights and preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction. Lizzie has a master’s degree in statistics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master in Public Affairs with a certificate in global health and health policy from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, and an undergraduate degree in public policy and creative writing from Princeton University.
