Lang (Kate) Yang is an associate professor at the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration at George Washington University. Her research interest is in state and local government finances, especially the questions of fiscal federalism. Kate studies three questions through both causal and descriptive inference: causes of and remedies for local government fiscal stress, impediments to government financial transparency, and the allocation of financial resources for K-12 education.
