Mindy Hernandez is the founder and Director of Design for Humans, a consulting company that helps government agencies, donors, and NGOs apply behavioral science to measurably improve products, programs and policies. Prior to launching Designs for Humans, Mindy was a Behavioral Research Specialist at USAID where she helped design and coordinate a number of randomized control trials in Mozambique. Before that, Mindy was a Senior Researcher with ideas42 where she focused on decision-making in the context of poverty. Mindy’s OES work focuses on USAID projects, with a particular interest in maternal child health and infectious diseases. Mindy lived in Mozambique and Uganda from 2010-2017 and received her BA from Cornell University and her MPA from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
