David Schwegman

David joined the team as an Associate Fellow in 2020. He is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration and Policy in the School of Public Affairs at American University. His research interests include using experimental methods to examine bureaucratic discretion and discrimination in local government and the social welfare system, education policy, and public finance. Prior to joining AU and OES, David completed his PhD at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
